West Hill Golden Hawks U11 Select team emerged triumphant in the highly competitive Vaughan Rangers Select tournament! Our players faced stiff competition, showcasing their skills with a commendable 2 - 1 record in the round-robin stage.
The semi-finals were a true test of grit and perseverance as our team battled fiercely, securing a thrilling overtime victory with a final
score of 2 - 1.
The stage was set for an epic final against the home team, Vaughan Rangers, who bested them in the round robin. Although we fell behind 1 - 0, our players rallied together, displaying incredible determination to take a 2 - 1 lead. In a heart-stopping turn of events, Vaughan tied the game late in the third period.
Continuing the drama from the semi-finals, the championship game was also decided in overtime. In an astonishing feat, the same player (Chayse Boulton #8) scored both game-winning overtime goals, securing our victory in a nail-biting final.
