TRAINING COURSES

Officiating

To officiate hockey games within Hockey Canada, you must become a certified official. To obtain certification, you must be at least 14 years of age and attend an eight (8) hour Hockey Canada Officiating Program (HCOP) clinic. Every season, this must be repeated.

HCOP clinics are designed to optimize the instructional experience in an informative and enjoyable manner, taking into consideration an official's experience and current HCOP level.

Information Regarding Clinics can be found on the GTHL website

Speak Out

Speak Out course is mandatory for all coaches. If you have already been trained, you don't need to train again. If you have any assistants that haven't got their Speak Out, they must take it on line before Nov 30. There is no in person clinic as we had in the past. Anyone requiring Speak Out training must take it on line at  https://gthl.respectgroupinc.com/

The league will pick up the cost of the course if

 1. You pre-register in the hockey office and are approved
 2. You pay for it $30
 3. You pass the course

 4. You bring in a receipt
 5. You must complete the course by the deadline of Nov 30
 6. The league will cover the cost of the course

Please share this info with all your assistants. Failure to complete the course will result in removal from the bench and ice. IT IS MANDATORY!
